Imagine waking up in Naples
Imagine vacationing across the South of Italy from Naples…Awe-inspiring vistas of natural beauty, intriguing discoveries of ancient history, energetic fervor of bustling cityscapes – Naples combines old world charm and modern attractiveness to captivate and inspire travelers from around the globe.

From its well-preserved medieval quarters filled with churches, monasteries, convents and palaces to its rich Greco-Roman artifacts housed in the world-famous Museo Archeologico Nazionale…From its alluring, year-round mild temperatures to its dramatic Bay of Naples panoramas – Naples is a city of contrasts. It is a city of vibrant people, distinctive Neapolitan baroque style, sumptuous foods and exuberant city life. Here visitors can marvel at magnificent baroque villas like Capodimonte and Caserta, as well as travel a short distance to the ruins of Pompeii, the stunning Amalfi Coast, and by rail to just about any town in Italy.

Founded by Greek settlers in 470 B.C. and subsequently embellished and expanded by the Romans, Naples has kept the mark of the successive cultures that appeared in Europe and the Mediterranean basin, making it a place of rich culture and diversity. Its artistic beauty shines through in the monuments and archaeological sites that include Roman Villas and ruins situated above the hill called Posillipo.  This cliff closes on the west of the city of Naples and separates the bay in front of Naples from the bay of Pozzuoli. Its yellow tufa walls are steep from the sea and sloping down steadily to the city, presenting an enthralling combination of different leveled landscapes over the coast.

Other main attractions of interest include, Donn'Anna Palace and the magnificent baroque Villas; the caves of the underground (caves made of tuff from the Roman period); the Crypta Napolitana, where Virgilio's tomb is placed; and the many urbanistic elements of Pizzofalcone, that represent the continuity of the ancient Greek acropolis. Parco Virgiliano, the “Garden of Remembrance”, is a park offering amazing views of the Bay of Naples, from Cape Miseno to the Sorrento Peninsula, as well as the island of Procida, Ischia and Capri.

The city is so rich in age-old history and contradictions that many artists write and paint about it.
Entertainment in Naples is synonymous with the joyous, carefree spirit of its people who are traditionally faithful to music, singing and dancing. The great cultural and creative legacy of the city has produced art and shows of international appeal, since ancient times. One example of this is the Neapolitan song tradition which still charms the world.

Naples reveals a spontaneous allure that extends beyond the string of pearls reflected in its urban lights and makes you long to explore her many corners.
